In Ungersheim, the Écomusée d’Alsace recreates an Alsatian village of old: dozens of half-timbered houses, saved from demolition, were taken down and rebuilt here. It is the largest open-air museum in France.
Craftspeople, farm animals, vegetable gardens and festivals bring the visit to life through the seasons, making it a lively and educational outing for children. The Parc du Petit Prince is right next door.
💡 Good to know
Allow most of the day and wear comfortable shoes: the village is explored on foot.
