Every summer, Lake Gérardmer welcomes swimmers at several designated areas supervised by lifeguards. At the Union Nautique, on the Quai de Waremme, you’ll find a beach, a slide, a diving board and a snack bar.
Around the lake, water sports take over: pedalos, sailing or stand-up paddleboarding, depending on which hire outlets are open that season. The lakeside esplanade, with its jetties and terraces, is the natural starting point for a day by the water.
💡 Good to know
Outside the supervised areas, you swim at your own risk. Gérardmer tourist office can tell you this year’s lifeguard hours.
