Where three valleys meet, the Ballon d’Alsace offers easy-going alpine runs in winter, a Nordic area for classic and skating, and sledging areas. The massif, a candidate for the Grand Site de France label, is also a lovely place for snowshoeing.
Mountain guides lead walks on the snow, and local operators offer dog-sledding outings. A ski school runs group and private lessons for children and adults alike.
💡 Good to know
The site gets very busy on snowy weekends: arrive early and make sure your car is equipped for the access road.
