Photo: Wikimedia Commons Near Oberhaslach, a forest path leads to a viewpoint and then to the foot of the falls, among rocks and tall trees. Allow about 30 minutes’ walk from the Nideck car park.
The nearby ruins of the Nideck castles, from the 13th and 14th centuries, inspired the legend of the Nideck giant, retold by the Brothers Grimm. The walk can easily be extended to the castles.
💡 Good to know
The path runs through forest and can be slippery: walking shoes are recommended.
