Photo: Pexels The Alsace Vineyard Cycle Route follows the Wine Route along the Vosges foothills and forms part of EuroVelo 5. The official route is 131.5 km long and mixes cycle paths, former railway lines, stretches of the old Roman road and quiet shared lanes.
It is divided into five stages: Marlenheim–Obernai, Obernai–Sélestat, Sélestat–Colmar, Colmar–Guebwiller and Guebwiller–Thann. A few climbs punctuate the route, rewarding you with views over the vineyards and the Alsace plain.
💡 Good to know
Several stations lie close to the route (Molsheim, Obernai, Turckheim, Thann), so you can ride a single stage and return by train. An e-bike makes the hills easier – and if you stop for tastings, go easy.
