Photo: Pexels Above Kintzheim, the Montagne des Singes is home to some 200 Barbary macaques living in semi-freedom in a 24-hectare forest. Visitors follow a path right among the monkeys – a rare and striking encounter.
At the entrance you are given popcorn to feed the macaques, following the keepers’ instructions. The site is very close to the Volerie des Aigles and the Haut-Kœnigsbourg castle, perfect for a full family day.
💡 Good to know
Follow the rules given at the entrance: only the popcorn provided may be given to the monkeys.
