The massif’s emblematic cheese, Munster AOP is ripened in its eponymous valley on the Alsace side and on the high moorlands. Soft with a washed rind and a bold character, it is eaten plain, with caraway, or melted over potatoes. From farm to ripening cellar, there’s no shortage of tastings.
