Created in Hunawihr in 1976 to save the white stork in Alsace, NaturOparC (formerly the stork and otter reintroduction centre) covers about 5 hectares beside the Wine Route. Today it also works for the European otter and the Alsace great hamster.

Visitors watch otters and cormorants fishing, meet the keepers and explore play areas and a mini farm. The park celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2026.
